I know this is the Chevron 35 board, but this reel is a Chevron 35 with a different decal and a few minor differences.

I saw you had gotten this reel. Do you know who sold the Marlin?

I have no idea, I didn't even know it existed until I saw it on eBay the other day. A while back I picked up a Chevron 130 that I had never seen before, the seller was out of Canada and it compares to a 135. Maybe this reel was sold in Canada also.

Seems to me that, 40 years or so ago, one of the hardware store chains sold product under the Marlin name. Western Auto? Otasco?

Regent Sports had a reel called Marlin #441 a Japan made reel. Maybe Regent Sports had reels from different makers and named them all Marlin.
