I have lived in MO most of my life, down in the Ozarks. I'm 69 y.o., retired for over seven years. I recall my Dad having a Citation 110 in the late 50's-early 60's. I bought my first Johnson reel, a Century 225, in the mid 80's. I was living in KC MO at the time. I liked that 225 so well, I began collecting Johnsons anywhere I could find them. Back then, you could find reels in any flea market or junk store. I amassed a collection of nearly 100 Johnson reels of many different models, but sold most of them when I moved back to the Ozarks. (Damn!) I've taken the hobby up again and have over 40 Johnsons. When I was collecting them in the 80's, I wrote to Johnson Fishing and requested catalogs. A lady named Irene Uhde sent me a box of photocopies of Johnson reel catalogs from 1959 to 1989, which collection I still have, as well as parts lists with exploded drawings from 1950 to 1990.
