I may be wrong, however it is my understanding that in the 1950s Dave Cook Sporting Goods had the reels manufactured under contract with Johnson Reels. The real is a Johnson Century in an anodized gold finish marked "Cooks Premier". I believe that it was sold exclusively in the Dave Cook stores in the Denver area. I've only ever seen one style with no variations however there may be others that I'm not aware of. They are a neat looking reel and really add to a Johnson collection in my opinion. I especially like how the gold looks in amongst all the green!
