Hello! I currently live in Wisconsin but grew up in Iowa. While growing up I had a Johnson Century 100A and always thought it was a cool looking reel. I grew up fishing Iowa rivers for Catfish and Flatheads. As I got older I really got into Walleye fishing in South Dakota and Minnesota at the family cabin on Lake Vermillion. Now retired and living next to Lake Michigan I focus on Salmon fishing but enjoy taking the Grandkids Bluegill fishing. I decided to start collecting Johnson reels from the 50's and 60's and have all Sidewinder models but the 10 and 10A. All work. I also collect Century and Citation model variations. A fun hobby! Can't wait until I discover the Side winder models I am missing. It is fun to see the differences in the reels as Johnson worked on improving things like the drag system.
