Ask A Question / Re: Help! Where to start?

He was probabley a member of the N.F.L.C.C. If so they have a survivorship program that will help you get rid of some of that stuff. They have shows all over the country and they auction old fishing stuff off to other members and the procedes go to the survivor.

Johnson Reel Discussions / Posting problems
« on: August 21, 2023, 07:29:54 PM »
I tried to post some pictures and failed. Shows the post is there but, I get this message (This page isn?t working). I had this happen before and Al was able to fix it. That's not an option anymore. I don't have the tech savvy to correct site issues and my participation on this site is slipping away. We need someone with the technical ability to take care of this site and any problems that pop up. Al had several sites and they were all in a package with blue host. He gave up ownership to that package to a friend that has one site in the package. We've been paying him the fee for this site to keep it alive the last two years. So who ever decides to take over will have to work with him to separate our site from his and keep this site running or all will be lost. This topic is now open for discussion.

Yes we managed to get on the river twice during the day. The first time wind limited to the creek and behind some parked barges. We caught a couple small flatheads. the second outing was better, two blue cats 12 and 10 pounds and a 9lb flathead.

This pit has nostalgic value to me. My grandpa & dad used to take me fishing here all throught the sixties. Here I am fishing the same water 50-60 years later.

Huckster's Blog / Fishing 4/28/23 Chrisney city lake
« on: May 10, 2023, 07:17:54 PM »
Ten years ago this lake was swarming with 3-4 inch bluegill. We decided to keep everything we caught. We fileted what we could and froze the rest for cat fish bait. After a couple years we started catching bigger fish and each year they've gotten bigger. They're not on their beds yet so we had to search for them, but we only threw back one small bluegill too small to filet.

Looks like the only thing rare about it is that someone took a drill to it.

Beautiful day on the lake. Temp in the low 70's & very little wind. The bluegill aren't on their beds yet, but several we caught were full of eggs. Hopefully by the first of May the spawn will begin.
