I have two of them, notice the difference? Still waiting for one with the star wheel drag.

It's a slow roll. I've had them awhile, bought one in April and the other in December last year.

I don't recall ever seeing one with the deeper green, polished front cover.  I think it's the older one of the two.

Dennis, I recently acquired a 225 with a star drag. Is there something unusual about the star drag version?

There is nothing unusual about the star drag version. In fact there should be a lot more of them because they were made longer that the round disk drag. My earlier post was referring to the fact I didn't have one new in the box.
